STANDING COMMITTEES Return to By-Laws' main page. Section 13.1 Learning Lab and Professional Development Committee.
The Learning Lab and Professional Development Committee (LLPD) shall promote instructional excellence and professional development. Section 13.2 Negotiations Committee.
The Negotiations Committee shall assist the Executive Board and the negotiations team in preparing a negotiations package. Section 13.3 Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee.
The Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee (PR&R) shall promote professional ethics and shall hear and review cases involving the grievance and/or termination procedures. Section 13.4 Legislative Committee/PAC.
The Legislative Committee shall organize and mobilize Association members for effective political action and lobbying. It shall also oversee the Association's internal election procedure. The committee shall function as DEA-PAC subject to the Political Action Committee guidelines. Section 13.5 Membership Committee.
The Membership Committee shall promote membership in the Association and shall increase member involvement in, and commitment to, the Association. Section 13.6 Budget Committee.
The Budget Committee shall consist of the President, the Vice President, and at least two other members of the Executive Board. The committee shall prepare an annual budget and oversee an annual audit of Association funds. It shall make regular financial reports to the Executive Board and act as an advisory body to the Board. Section 13.7 Public Relations and Member Programs Committee.
The Public Relations and Member Programs Committee (PR&MP) promotes the positive image of the profession and the organization with Association members, district personnel, community groups, and the public. Section 13.7 Multi-Cultural Affairs Committee
The Multi-Cultural Affairs Committee (MCA) shall promote the awareness of, and respect for, the many cultural traditions of Association members and the students that we serve. Section 13.8 Additional Duties and Responsibilities.
The Executive Board may from time to time establish additional duties and responsibilities for each committee whenever it shall determine that it will be to the best interest of the Association and of its individual members. Return to By-Laws' main page. |
